Ok so I have just tested the V1.5 with switch 3 in the on position, so with my earphones plugged in I can hear the music but I think it’s not as loud as with dip 3 in off position, I also noticed another strange thing this afternoon my earphones have a volume control part way along the cable, when I adjust this earphone volume it also adjusts the volume from the speakers.
Also when I remove the earphone plug the speaker volume increases considerably.

ScudieParticipantHi Pinbill
To be honest I think that yesterday was the first time that I have used the mini jack audio on the V1.5
I have used A Bluetooth transmitter & speaker on V1.3 &V1.4 with out any issues, so yesterday I plugged the same transmitter into the V1.5 and paired it to my BT speaker when I powered the wallbox & V1.5 I got a loud humming /buzzing from the BT speaker that varied in volume when the on board volume pot was adjusted, when I selected a song it played fine with plenty of volume from the speaker, strangely when I connect a pair of earphones to the mini jack there is no buzzing/ humming.
My dips are set as follows
1 off 2 on 3 off
what is IEMs ?
So in conclusion it seems to me that we both have a problem albeit different ones.

ScudieParticipantGood evening Pinbill
Are you using the onboard volume pot or the remote one ?
How are the set the positions of the 3 switches on the board set ?

ScudieParticipantGood afternoon Gaëlle
Ok so I connected a Bluetooth transmitter to the audio jack on a V1.5 & turned on the power, I immediately noticed a humming noise through the Bluetooth speaker that varied in volume as the volume control was adjusted.
I selected a song on the wallbox and it played the song with plenty of volume, but there was a lot of background hum from the Bluetooth speaker with or without any song playing .
When I plug earphones into the audio jack there is no noticeable humming.
I think that the audio jack socket is not correctly soldered to the board as there is movement.

Sometimes the owners of the Wallbox2mp3 do appear on here, from time to time to answer/ ask questions, if you want to contact them I would try emailing them, as it may be a while befor any of them answer your question, on the other hand you could get a response soon.

ScudieParticipantHi Randy
Yes all of these things have there limitations, We are now if you ask me spoilt for choice, with Spotify and smart speaker systems such Alexa & similar setups where the Internet has an infinite choice of music for people to listen to both in there homes and on the move.
We currently have 3 Seeburg SC1 Wallboxes I admit that they are not the prettiest of things but with 160 selections and built in speakers they make a great stand alone unit. We have one In the kitchen, one in the garage and garden shed that hangs outside when the weather is good enough, so occasionally I swap the SD and page units around so we get a different choice.
I did do a Rowe Ami WRA 200 which in my opinion is visually better than the Seeburgs & also has the benefit of built in speakers and 200 selections, the downside of it being that it does not have a flat base so does not sit correctly on any flat surface, so I had to fabricate a stand for it .
I didn’t get chance to get bored with the choices on the WRA as a pal of mine talked me into parting with it a few weeks after completing it.
Does your Wurlitzer have its own speakers ? I have seen some with & some without. Once you have that finished you will have much more choice of music.

Realy like the look of the wallbox / drive in combination.
I see that you mounted the wb2mp3 inside your Buckley, are the transformer / power supply inside the speaker junction box or external.
Were you able to keep the Buckley coin operated as in the video?
I fancy a pinball machine myself but it’s just a space thing for me that’s the problem.
I guess I could convert the attic to a toy room!

i have tried to send an email to the address in the above post, unfortunately each time I try I get an (unable to deliver mail) notice shortly after sending it.

ScudieParticipantIn my opinion the wb2mp3 plays selections more reliably if the SD card is configured for no random music.
My own Seeburg SC1 conversion has a wb2mp3 fitted inside it & plays through the original speekers, I can normally select 4 tracks and it will play them correctly, I think if more selections 6 or more are made the playback becomes unreliable.
Cheers Scudie

Nice video ,really think the drive in speakers looks cool and sound good also, I looked for a pair of them myself but they are not that common over here , I doubt that there were any drive in cinemas in England so any that come up for sale (sometimes on EBay) sell for strong money.
Just got to build something to house it all in.

After studying my diagram and reading your post this morning I realise I have made a mistake, some how I have managed to cross the two positives.
I have drawn the diagram again and corrected the mistake.
many appologies

Guten Morgen Jens
viele Entschuldigungen

If it plays with out the strange noise through the headphones, I would now with your meter test the speaker negatives for continuity.
So with your meter set to continuity & one test leed on the left negative & and the other test lead on the the right negative, there should be No continuity, assuming that there is No continuity between the two speaker negative wires I would reconnect one pair of speaker wires to the wb2mp3 and see how that sounds.
If this is ok I would reconnect the 2nd pair of speaker wires and test again.

Guten Morgen Jens

Good to here that you have solved the problem .
Obviously you can post photos on here & some users have posted links to YouTube videos, I don’t use Facebook so won’t see anything that is put on there.

ScudieParticipantGood luck with the Buckley, I hope that all goes well with that , are you aiming on installing the V1.5 inside it?
Back to the possibility of a corrupt signal it is strange that it works with no faults when connected to the iPod unit.
I recently built a conversion for a Wurlitzer 5250 for a friend, his 5250 had worked fine when connected to his jukebox, the conversion worked fine when connected to my 5250 but had issues when connected to his.
I removed the motor , cleaned the wiper arm and contact board, reassembled it and the issues were rectified.

You may be right about the software , I have no personal experience with the different Rockola models.
what I do not understand is the strange noise that you are getting, I can’t see that this would be caused by the software,
I think if it was me I would disconnect the 25vac wire and also the signal wire, then configure the SD card again and choose “Constanly ” for the random play with the SD configured this way the wb2mp3 should play songs as soon as the 5v DC is turned on, check to see if you still get the strange noise, if the noise is still there switch off the 5v DC & disconnect the speaker wires and plug a set of earphones into the socket switch the 5v DC back on and listen again for the strange noise.
Cheers Scudie
Guten Morgen Jens

ScudieParticipantHi Jens
just watched your video, have you wired up a remote cancel switch?
if you have does it make the same noise when you press the cancel switch that is mounted on the wb2mp3 board?
have you cleaned all of the contact surfaces of the page switches? I assum that as you turn the pages there are a set of contacts that are operated by the pages?
Cheers Scudie
Hallo Jens

ScudieParticipantHi Battlebugs
Have just read your last post, I also checked the User manual and did not find any mention of the m00.sel file.
I am fairly sure I have read it somewhere on the website ( but could be mistaken).
I have had no personal experience with a 5220, I have used both a 5210 & a 5250 with a V1.4bis & in both cases there were no tracks played when any of the T, U, or V selections were made.
I concluded that when A1 was selected it infact played D1 therefor it ran out of tracks on selection S 0 hence nothing on T, U, &V
I found by trial and error that if I configured the SD for a 200 select Rockola, I had all 200 selections.
As in your case where if you keep trying a a particular selection and sometimes it plays the correct track I would guess that the signal being sent by the wallbox is somehow corrupted. Dirty signal generator board /wiper arm or dirty selection key switches, possibly?
Cheers Scudie
ScudieParticipantGood morning Jens
I think from your description that the problem of the missing last ten selections may be down to to the page switch’s requiring attention, but I would have assumed that if this were the case that it would play the wrong tracks rather than no tracks for the last ten.
Sorry but I don’t have an answer for the lowd noise at the beginning or end of a track, very strange. Are you sure that you have the correct ground wires connected to the appropriate speakers?
Cheers Scudie
Guten Morgen Jens

ScudieParticipantHi Jens
Does your wallbox play the correct selected tracks on all other selections except the last ten ?
or is it playing selection number ten when you select number one?
Cheers Scudie
Hallo Jens

ScudieParticipantGood Afternoon Jens
If you haven’t allready done so clean the contacts and wiper arm on the signal generator board.
If this makes no difference try the following,
Is your SD card configured for random selections if it is change it to No random selections.
Glad to hear you are getting on with it.
Cheers Scudie
Guten Tag Jens
