Hi Michiel
Personaly I believe that Sooner deserves most of the credit for this, with some input from Klaatu also.
We do not appear to have had any input on the matter from the team!
I am busy with work, parents & other projects at the moment so it may take me few weeks to give it a go.
ScudieParticipantAmps arrived today 35 days, so wasn’t too bad as I have been busy doing other things.
Cheers Scudie
ScudieParticipantThe amps that I ordered arrived today, took them a while to arrive from China around 35 days. Will post the outcome of the modification once I have had time to try them out.
Been busy doing other things at the moment.
Cheers Scudie.
ScudieParticipantHi Steve
As the weather over last weekends Bank Holliday was fantastic I spent most of my time outside fiddling with motorbike stuff rather than wallbox’s
Much too nice to be stuck in doors, Amps not turned up yet.
Cheers Paul
ScudieParticipantHi folks
was beginning to think that everyone had gone over to Facebook!
Its been very quiet on here recently, certainly nothing from Fabien & the team.
Talking of Steppers was talking recently to a guy who I bought some Seeburg speakers from he said he has a few contacts in the States & would ask if any one comes across a Stepper for a B to let him know.

ScudieParticipantA quick update on the WQ200, selection numbers 1- 150 play correctly after this things go a bit a stray! I had been testing it while I was making a start on another SC1 & after sorting the initial problem things were looking good, but north of 150 things are not correct. If the weather stops play outside at the weekend I will take a look at it.

ScudieParticipantMorning Michiel
Thanks for the information, I may have stumbled across that site in the past but had not used it before.
Just to complicate things further it would apear that Seeburg got into bother with the taxman by selling equipment with duplicated serial numbers without the necessary paper work. Thus avoiding paying the revenue that was due!
Cheers Paul
ScudieParticipantHave had a little time to look at those speaker units, decided to make a replacement for the mesh, so far I have cut a couple of pieces of 8mm aluminium to match the shape of the speaker body.
Will now give the design of the speaker grill some thought.
Cheers Scudie
ScudieParticipantYes apparently Seeburg got a lot of bad press over this, the phono was designed. In such a way that it would not be compatible with older Seeburg & other manufacturers wallbox’s.
The letter pulses are sent to the stepper in the opposite order on a SC1 starting at V through to A on a 3w1 it pulses A through to K
I am told that they received so much stick about this that after a while they developed a conversion unit, so that older model wallbox’s could then be used with the new phono’s.
Cheers Scudie
ScudieParticipantHi Klaatu
Did you get the information? Was it of any help to you?
Cheers Scudie
ScudieParticipantI guess if the way that the title strips are numbered were changed on the 3w1 to match the 3wa, then in theory as long as two people did not try to make a selection simultaneity, it should work.
Cheers Scudie
ScudieParticipantIf I remember correctly the pages on the 3wa are listed differently to the 3w1, if I am correct I think this would cause a problem. I can’t see why you could not have two wallbox’s connected if they were the same.
Cheers Scudie
ScudieParticipantHi Klaatu
I have emailed you some diagrams, I thought they may help you follow the circuit.
Cheers Scudie
ScudieParticipantBeen in touch with Andy today thankfully the spare modified emulator that Fabien sent for me to evaluate has not been damaged while being tested. So when I receive the amps I will give it a go.

ScudieParticipantHi Folks
Thanks for the info on the editing, next time I am building a play list of tracks to put on an SD card I will give it a try, as I said previously I have just ripped the Cd’s to windows media player then created a folder with the required tracks in it. It’s only recently after Sooner had explained it that I have built the playlist with the tracks organised to pair them up to create A & B sides.
Cheers Scudie
ScudieParticipantIs that some sort of MP3 editing software? Is it easy to use?
All I do is tick best quality under preferences when ripping the cd on my computer. Which I assume is part of the Windows O S
Cheers Scudie
ScudieParticipantNot sure why I couldn’t up load my video, perhaps it was too long about 50 seconds I guess. I have watched & listened to Sooners video on you tube & it does seem to suffer from the same background noise.
Cheers Scudie.
ScudieParticipantHi Michiel
It sounds like you have your 507 set up working now well done, just the audio hum which most of us have. In your last post you say I wonder if this is acceptable ? Personally I don’t think it is, disappointing and annoying that this system has the issues that it has.
Cheers Scudie
ScudieParticipantOk so after thinking about it I realised that I had tested selections 1 -20 with the mech sat on the bench, then had fitted the mech inside the front half of the cover, as selections 21-30 are on the left set of push buttons & that I didn’t encounter any problems until selections 31 -40 ( right hand buttons) so I went back to selection 11- 20 which had previously selected & played correctly however now fitted in the cover these also failed to play correctly. So removed the mech from the cover hey presto everything works as it should, the only thing that I found was that the banks of buttons are adjustable so that they can be centralised through the aperture in the cover having adjusted this and refitted the cover it now appears to behave itself😎
I am am now into the sixties selections & still playing well.

ScudieParticipantWell after the weekend I have got the WQ200 hooked up to my test rig, selections 1 through to 30 play correctly 31 to 40 all same track after that it responds the left had selection buttons correctly but not the right hand buttons. I guess it will be something simple! At least it has life. More head scratching required👍
