Hi Laurent,
That’s great news 🙂
I know from personal experience how nice it is when your wallbox finally plays your music. It also took me quite a lot of effort at the time… But since then I use them every day and I am still making new music combinations (on multiple sd cards), which – for me- is also a nice way to discover “new” music. I wish you a lot of fun,Groeten,
MichielMichielParticipantHi Laurent,
good news that the software now works, that saves you a lot of work!
As for the two red flashes: I think this indeed has to do with the SD card. (By the way, it is not a problem if there is a folder system volume information on the sd card). The SD card is not recognized by the emulator. The most obvious reason I can think of is that the properties of the sd card do not match with the emulator. Are you using an sdhc or sdxc card? I advice using a SDHC card, because SDXC is not supported by every device. In case you do already use SDHC, than try another SDHC card, in rare cases a card is faulty…Groeten,
Michiel
MichielParticipantHi Laurent,
Reading/seeing the information that you provide, I conclude a few things.
1. You have succeeded downloading the right file: wallbox2mp3_scrollbar.jar.
The extension .jar means that is has to be opened by using Java.
2. The screenshot that you have uploaded, shows that you (your pc) has opened the file using software like winrar (or winzip). At this point things go wrong, the .jar file has to be openend by Java. So, your pc has the .jar file incorrectly linked to winrar/winzip. You can easily change that by clicking on the .jar file with the right button of the mouse and give the assignment to open the file with java.
Let us know the outcome

MichielParticipantGood morning Laurent and Scudie,
Laurent, you mention the use of the emulator V1.5, but do you use the proper software? In my situation, the latest version of the software automatically puts the “M21.sel” and “names.csv” files on the SD card. The software version I use can be found here:
http://www.wallbox2mp3.com/soft/wallbox2mp3_scrollbar.jar
The manual that comes with the software provides more information about those files (also in French)
http://wallbox2mp3.com/soft/documentation_EN.pdf
But you’ve probably seen it yourself 🙂
I doubt if adding a M21.sel file will make the emulator work. On the other hand, the fact that there is no M21.sel file at all on your card, suggests that there is something not right with the software you use in combination with the version of the emulator. So it is certainly worth a try to download the correct software again.
Maybe Scudie has also some other suggestions?
Let us know how things are going.

MichielParticipantGood evening Laurent,
My name is Michiel and I own two Rock Ola 507 wallboxes. I have V1.5 and it all works fine. I use SDHC cards with 8GB capicity. That’s more than enough space for 160 songs on 320 kbps 🙂
The files on my cards are
c0o06.cnf
M21.sel
names.csv
sel001.mp3
sel002.mp3
sel003.mp3
etc.
As you notice, my C-files have a “o” (zero) instead of a “1”
So I suggest that you change the number and it then might work flawless. If not, try a SDHC card instread of SDXC.
Good luck!

MichielParticipantGood evening,
Did you check the position of the jumper on the 3th digitboard?(see picture, 100 vs 160 selections)

MichielParticipantHi Scudie,
Great to keep us posted. With your help, maybe we can finally get rid of that hum…

MichielParticipantHi Scudie,
You probably are familiar with this website:

Just like you, I assume that your SC1 is manufactured around 1964.

MichielParticipantHi Sooner and Klaatu,
The amp in my w2mp3 is acting strange; besides the hum, there is also a disbalance between left and right channel when using the external volume knob. That one behaves as a balance knob: when increasing the volume, the right speaker gets more active. And also the high tones seems to -partly- disappear. After quite some finetuning I get a pretty good sound, but as soon I change volume, the colour of the sound changes too. Together with the hum, I wonder if it is acceptabel for a product like this. I really hope that one day the makers will come with a solution for it. I saw your post about buying an amp and installing it, but I don’t dare  to take the risk of destroying the card…
I do have a positive point too: the sound drops within every song are disappeared. The problem was related to the sd cards I used. They were micro sd types (meant for smartphones etc.) put in an adapter to become regular sized  sd card. Now I use the “ordinairy” type SD card and the problem is gone.

MichielParticipantMorning Scudie,
I found this information about the lamps in the WQ 200:
http://www.jukebox-world.de/Forum/Archiv/AMI/AMI_WQ.htm
It needs lamps equivalent of General Electric #47. Â The specs:Â GE47 6,3V 0,15A (1W)
Hope this is useful.

MichielParticipantHi Scudie,
as you suggested, I have plugged some earphones in the audio socket, in the jack-mode, but I did not give any sound. It seems that the jack-mode does not work. When I keep the earphones in the audio socket and change to volume mode I get good sound through the earphones, but only on maximum volume. (caused by the architecture of the pot meter I presume). Also in this way the aformentioned fault still occurs, the sound is disturbed a few times during the playback of a song. Could the fault be related to the disfunctional jack-mode? By the way,  I noticed that playing through the earphones, the annoying hum has totally disappeared. No hum or any other disturbance at all..

MichielParticipantGood evening,
A few weeks ago I mentioned some problems with my Rock Ola 507 and got some reactions on this forum, so I’ll give  an update. While trying a copy of Scudie’s  “setup”  with the 24 volt bulbs I noticed strange behaviour of the bulbs. Until I finally got the message: I did not get 24 volts. The reason was very simple: instead of connecting the transformer in series, I had connected it in parallel. I almost feel ashamed about it, but it did solve all the selection problems. The 507 is cooperating with the W2mp3 very well now! However, two problems still exist: first the annoying hum in the left speaker. Is there really nothing to do about it?  In my opinion it seems to be a hardware problem and in that case it should be solved by the makers. The other problem shows up one or two times during play-back of almost every selection. For a very short while , the amplifier seems to turn of and the music is interrupted. The red led flashes a little brighter and then the music continues. What could cause this, do you have any suggestions? Thanks for thinking along!
