Morning Michiel
As I said earlier I have had no personal experience with this model wallbox, & I am unfamiliar with the selections having 3 digits.
I believe that the first number pressed has to be 1or 2 because this selection determines which side of a record is to be played so in your example of 100-107 & 200-207 these I believe would be the A & B sides of the same records?
I have previously on my wallbox’s used a simple 24v test bulb to determine if a signal is being generated, with one side of the bulb connected to the 25vac & the other connected to the signal, as the signal is a series of ground pulses, the bulb will flash as the selection is made, to fast to determine the selection but it lets you know if it is being generated. Because your 507 is more electronic I can not say 100% if this would be safe to do but can’t see why not ? Obviously you would have far better information if you had access to an oscilloscope you would then be able to view the pulse train of each selection.
I note that the 507 still uses a motor that I assume drives a wiper arm around a contact board?
I guess that you have cleaned all of the contacts & if applicable checked the timing of the wiper arm.
Cheers Scudie
You didn’t say if you had random selections ?

Hi Gaelle and Scudie,
thank you for your quick reply on my post. My initial question about the compatibility with the Rock Ola 507 was caused by my misunderstanding. I’ll give you some background information about my efforts to get the Rock Ola 507 work together with the w2mp3 . I have the service manual, parts catalog and the wiring diagram of the 507. I also read the instructions about the installation of the w2mp3. I have bought the wallbox “ untested” which might be a or the cause of the (so far) partial malfunction of the w2mp3. There are some selections which do play right, for instance all the selections 100 – 107 and 200- 207. I conclude that the first chosen digit (1 or 2) and the second digit 0 do function well (both in the 507 as in the w2mp3). But many other combinations do not give any result. The red led (signal) flashes for a moment , the speakers get activated but the mp3file does not play. I suppose that there might be three possible causes: the signal is too weak so the w2mp3 cannot read it, the signal is strong enough but can not be recognised or the w2mp3 can not read the signal because of a malfunction of the filter. Because the wallbox was sold as “untested”, I assume that the most probable cause of the malfunction must be found in the wallbox itself. So I have to continue now with looking for a defect. Unless you have some other suggestions? That flashing red led intrigues.
Best regards,

KlaatuKeymasterI guess too it’s for a headphone out. Sound is good with a headphone.
Also noticed that volume tone and level change if you adjust both volume knob.
If you use external volume control, integrated volume knob still vary volume, kinda strange.

KlaatuKeymasterDon’t be so negative 😉
It’s attractive, people will understand quicker what is it. More striking than a plexi with just the name.
And it’s the new card, so a new design !
My wife love it !
KlaatuKeymasterBig problem with Bluetooth is you’ll always have to pair/match them every time you disconnect it.
Best to leave it as an option, there is plenty available everywhere from cheap to expensive.

KlaatuKeymasterJ’ai comme une impression de déjà vu… Il y a eu ce design sur une version bois gravé.
Ce sera de l’impression numérique sur plastique, un autocollant ?
KlaatuKeymasterEmail sent 😉
KlaatuKeymasterCulprit is really the amp.
And maybe the power transformer, did you try anything else ?
Those type of power are to avoid in hi-fi product and same here I guess.I’ll try another power solution when time allow me, to see if it affects sounds…
I agree wb2mp3 would be better than wipod/cdadapter if it was working without noise and other trouble.
The new Walljuke seems to be a great product.
If you could get all the best from these product you’ll have the perfect adapter. Don’t loose time with app from smartphone.
My question is when are you planning to release new card ? and what will you offer to people than own older version with problem ?
Any beta tester for new product ?
@gaelle : I’m missing 3 nuts.- This reply was modified 5 years, 4 months ago by Klaatu.
KlaatuKeymaster“considering a version in bluetooth that would allow you to control your selection from a phone with a dedicated application”
Why not, but personally I don’t think it’s a priority. I won’t control anything with a phone. And like Scudie said, if I want to listen to the wallbox, I want to play with it : press button, turn volume knob…
If I want to use an app, I won’t bother with the Wallbox and use something else.Did you had a look at what other companies are offering for wallbox ?
KlaatuKeymasterHi Scudie,
I’m looking for one.
Yes, I’ll contact them in direct.KlaatuKeymasterI confirm that X3810 is Fabien’s ex partner.
And the last I read about him, was that he wasn’t going to work again with Fabien.Initial production was made in France. And then Fabien decided to produce it in China and modified board. And that’s where the problem begin, according to X3810.
KlaatuKeymasterNo humm or parasite in speakers ? You are using amp from wallbox2mp3 card ?
KlaatuKeymasterHello Scudie,
Yes I removed the post. I didn’t saw it before. I don’t get notification when a new post is online. And don’t always look everywhere. Remember, I only do this to help, no compensation. And I don’t have all access. Just moderation.
“Anti-spam” used on this board isn’t a perfect solution… They will have to look for a better one. You can’t imagine how many spam there is in the comments on article…KlaatuKeymasterLooks like we are all the same. I figure the idea in my head, I should say many ideas, many.
Then I try to find the better, make a little drawing to see if that looks good. Sometime I use Photoshop to check proportion with real size. But When I start working wood, there is always something you didn’t think of, and you change initial plan. But I like it that way.A router is my best investment for this.
KlaatuKeymasterHello,
Same feeling as Scudie about the “relaunch” of the forum and customer service.
From what I understand, WB2MP3 isn’t the priority, Gaelle was here for helping with other products and replying to people. Looks like they get swamped, and communication isn’t there best asset.KlaatuKeymasterHello Scudie,
Not heard anything from Fabien since march 20th.
He had send you audio schematic so that you could check with one of your friend ?
And he was waiting for your answer.
KlaatuKeymasterNice red !
KlaatuKeymasterGo for it ! Buy it !
I would, only for the wallbox and speakers.
KlaatuKeymasterSome conversion were available, but never seen this one. Maybe a DIY.
