RandyParticipant
In my experience it is not limited to size or manufacturer and I have tested many and have had a few that just did not work in the emulators but were fine in other applications. It should be SDHC though, no micro SDs or Duo. I have had good luck with 4GB cards.

RandyParticipantI’d run it past her again, they are a blast. I only do the older “EM” electro-mechanical machines, they have a lot in common with the wallboxes like switch stacks and stepper units. The oldest one in the picture is a 1953 machine (2nd from the right). For the radio, I’ve fooled a couple people already by hitting the credit switch and then adjusting the main dial and they think I’m actually tuning in a radio station.
RandyParticipantPretty nice!
RandyParticipantI’d be interested in this one as well. I have a WRA with a V1.4 emulator so it was not really an option but if it can be done with a V1.5 I would swap over to the new emulator. I was able to get on board volume controls working with a V1.5 on a Wurlitzer 5220 but of course the wiring set up is different. Hopefully it is not as difficult as the Seeburg SC solution in the tutorials section:
RandyParticipantOK – but I ordered the Snapmaker that also has the CNC carver, maybe that can compete with expensive resin printing. 😉

RandyParticipantYup. I’m guessing card failures rather than emulator failures for my issues as well. Those are some darn nice looking SCs, are the speaker grills original or did you rework them?
Randy
RandyParticipantYup, similar experience here, when working on my Melody Lane project I finally found an SD card that functioned correctly then after several test runs it failed to initialize and gave the 2 flash loop. Once I reformatted the SD card with the Windows full format it functioned correctly.

I have not found out why it happens or how to fix it.
RandyParticipantThe 24v terminal labeled WHT in the SCH1 goes to the input labeled 24v on the emulator and the terminal labeled BLU on the SCH1 goes to the input labeled SIG on the emulator. There is no COM connection from the SCH1 to the V1.5 emulator.

Hey, Scudie…yes all jukebox in the titles or lyrics.
Been having a little trouble lately posting to this forum, I have a youtube video that explains it, but has not posted.
So I am working a SC, I have a 1 and 2 that are in various states of disassembly.
The SC1 is chrome that is in fairly good nick but is presenting some technical challenges.
The SC2 works correctly but is in bad cosmetic shape.
I considered powder coating or re-chroming but saw your post on the coating process and explored re-chroming here and it’s a little too expensive. I had some pinball parts re-chromed and later regretted the cost.
So, I may do some cross-leveling of parts to get the SC1 working.
I’m going to do a Ipod adapter on this one – music management is so much easier for these 100+ songs than the MP3 adapters.
RandyParticipantI finished up the 5220 this weekend. I wanted this one to be mobile so I mounted it on a cheap stand and put the hardware in the drawer.
This is the V1.5 and I have it wired to the on board speakers (I did replace the original ones with new speakers). The original sound control buttons seem to be working fine with the V1.5 card, at least so far.
A nice thing about the 5220 is that it has a service switch inside to provide free play. I have the SD card programmed for continuous play with my favorite songs from the 70 to current music.
RandyParticipantRandyParticipantRandyParticipantRandyParticipantRandyParticipantOk, I guess I just did not pay enough attention when I first powered up the SC-2. I reassembled it this morning and had another look. Some previous owner had already modified this one.
They have shorted the three wires but have run them through a 6/10 Amp fuse rather than a resistor.
When I hit a coin switch there is movement in the APU but it does not add a credit.
When I select a song it does not subtract a credit, So apparently what I have is a system that is basically in perpetual freeplay, which may not be a bad thing.
In the meantime I ordered the proper resistors
