Hi All. So I have an SC1 that I am working on that will only play tracks numbered 8(A3 only plays A8 or K3 only plays K8, and so on). I have disassembled the number selector, cleaned it, and ran conductivity tests. it seems to work to its respective pin on the pulse generator but it still fails to select the correct song. I am out of ideas.

      Notes on modifications.

      1. When I got it, it had the APU mostly disassembled, so that is removed.

      2. Set to free play by shorting pin 1 to 7

      Hi tstaff

If you have removed the Apu10-56 credit unit because its defective or incomplete then you will have to bridge terminals 9&10 on the credit unit socket  to complete the number selection circuit.

      Cheers Scudie

Thanks Scudie! I think I just got stuck in a hole. I looked at the drawing again and it made perfect sense.

The first SC I had was missing its credit unit, speakers, slug rejector, so I was faced with the same problem. If you want the album select light to be iluminated you can by bridging numbers 7 & 11 on the credit unit socket.

As  a matter of interest does your SC have black or white buttons?

How many screws hold the side glass chrome trim in place inside the front cover?

      Cheers Scudie
